Please describe your appreciation for the City of Austin's diverse demographics and geography. I moved here in the 90s from a monoculture. I could count the number of non-white students at my entire high school on my two hands. I have loved exploring this city's restaurants, festivals, neighborhoods, architecture. I didn't know who Barbara Jordan was before I moved to Austin. Now she is one of my inspirations and I love seeing her image throughout the city. One of the first things I did when I moved here was become a volunteer guide at Wild Basin - so I could learn more about the geography, flora and fauna of the area. We are so blessed to have the bounty of nature that we do and I believe it is a natural right that everyone has a place where you can gaze out and see only blue sky and green.
