Please describe your relevant analytical skills. I am computer literate - comfortable with word processing and spreadsheets. I do not have experience drawing district boundaries but am able to learn.
Please describe your ability to be impartial. I am the president of Common Ground for Texans and an active member of Braver Angels both nonpartisan, nonprofit organizations that work to find commonality over differences.
Please describe your appreciation for the City of Austin's diverse demographics and geography. I am familiar with the City of Austin's 1928 master plan that still has ramifications to this day.
Please provide your employment history. I directed admissions to the College of Pharmacy at UT-Austin for approximately 20 years. With the help of a committee of faculty, I was responsible to ensure that all decisions were unbiased and based on merit. We typically had over 500 applications for 125 positions. Not an easy task.
Please provide any other information you wish to be considered during the selection of the most qualified applicants for the Commission. I am an active member of the LWV-AA working in several areas- voting rights and equity and inclusion matters.
