Please describe your ability to be impartial. | Being retired I have no economic interest that could possibly influence me improperly. As I have learned over the years, fairness and impartiality in dealing with people's interests and rights are critically important to any governmental function. |
Please describe your appreciation for the City of Austin's diverse demographics and geography. | After attending UT, my wife and I have lived in Austin since 1982. We raised our three boys here. We have both been active in many community activities over the years. The diversity of Austin is one of its main strengths to make it the best place in Texas to live. Its geographical environment is one of the other great strengths. Respecting and protecting those unique qualities is critically important. |
Please provide your employment history. | I have worked as an attorney in the public sector and in private practice. I managed my own firm for many years. I feel the skills developed over those years gives me the ability to work with people, many of whom may have differing views of issues, respectfully and productively to reach an overall desired goal. |
