Please describe your relevant analytical skills. I have been a Travis County employee for over 20 years, as well as currently receiving my BA degree in Organizational Leadership at CSU, analytical skills are used in my experience when it comes to making decisions based on data and reports in work groups and teams such as the data with percentage outcomes on clients services and their satisfactory with reeving direct services at the Travis County Health and Human Services Department. I also use data and direct reporting on budget items and requests too. Using a conceptual style of analytical information means for the long term which would benefit this commission and the redrawing of its local district boundaries.
Please describe your ability to be impartial. I also serve as President of the Local Union, AFSCME 1624 and as President, I do not serve my own interests ever but merely as a spokesperson for the interests of our union members. I sit and attend executive board meetings, general membership meetings and never have a self-serving interest but an interest from a group consensus. I also have served as Team Lead with the Partnership Council Committee in partnership with Travis County management and line staff workers together.
Please describe your appreciation for the City of Austin's diverse demographics and geography. Now more than ever, there should be accountability and consistency with the demographics and geography representation specifically in the diverse imitative. As past history has reflected that Austin has a notability of being a segregated city of sorts, this commission can improve and reflect changes that will provide a positive and proactive outcome to the city and its constituents.
