Please describe your relevant analytical skills. I studied industrial engineering and statistics at Purdue University. I've also worked in finance roles as Goldman Sachs and at a smaller private equity firm. I am currently a student earning my MBA at the University of Texas.
Please describe your ability to be impartial. I can make fair, impartial decisions. This is best seen through my role as the Officer in Charge (Program Manager) of the selection process to become an Army Ranger. I pushed for gender equality and during my time in this role, I instituted policy and determined the procedures to facilitate assessment of first female Army Ranger candidate, supporting the Department of Defense and US Army’s gender integration initiative. Additionally, I instituted data-driven decision making in the selection process to make the process as objective as possible, graduating the truly best candidates.
Please describe your appreciation for the City of Austin's diverse demographics and geography. My wife and I moved to Austin as a result of our appreciation for the city's diversity of demographics and geography. This makes being a part of the community here such a joy. I've also joined a running team here because I enjoy running across Austin and exploring parts of the geography I haven't seen before. The diversity of demographics and thought should be reflected at the polls and it is my aim to make the counsel district boundaries as equitable as possible.

Please provide any other information you wish to be considered during the selection of the most qualified applicants for the Commission. The opportunity to be an established community leader was difficult while I was in the military given deployments and frequent cross-country moves. Now that I have separated from service and returned to Texas, I am excited to take hold of the opportunity to be a community and business leader now. To this end, my family and I volunteer with the foster care system here in Texas to support and care for some of the most vulnerable people in our state. I want to continue to have a positive impact on the next generation of Texans, whether its empowering a transitioning service member to lead or caring for a child seeking a family to call their own. I want to live and work in Texas for the long term and will continue to serve this state in business and in the community.
