Please describe your relevant analytical skills. As a History major at the University of Texas at Austin, I learned countless valuable analytical skills. By studying a diverse range of subjects including Government, Philosophy, Astronomy, and Climate Science, I gained a well-rounded education that developed my analytical skills drastically.
Please describe your ability to be impartial. In the past, I have worked as a messenger clerk for both the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate. Our primary responsibility was to remain non-partisan and serve both Republican and Democratic politicians equally. The ability to be impartial is a vital skill that I would rely on if selected to serve on the redistricting committee.
Please describe your appreciation for the City of Austin's diverse demographics and geography. It is the diverse demographics and geography that make this city so special and unique. Since its conception in the year 1839, Austin has maintained the same level of character that large American cities possess, while not being as densely populated as New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc. If selected to serve on the redistricting committee, I will make sure that the new city council districts reflect the diversity of the city we call home.
